Micah is the owner of Fleur De Stitch'd. She began dying yarn in 2019 due to the lack of hand dyed yarn and LYS in the Baton Rouge area. She is currently a student at studying to earn her Associate in Liberal Arts. She hopes to bring fiber art into the Ascension Parish school system so that students are able to learn a new skill like knitting or crocheting.

Terra is the owner of Mitchell's Creations and collaborated with Micah to open The Knots Bayou. She's a Georgia native but moved to Louisiana years ago. She enjoys spending time with her family and indulging in her WIPs.
beginner workshops
Crochet & Knit Workshop
Interested in learning to knit? Crochet? You have come to the right place. Classes are on Sundays 12-2pm and 2-4pm located at The Knots Bayou (inside The Artists Loft Market). The cost is $65 and includes yarn and needle/hook to borrow. Students are welcome to bring their own needle/hook but it must be a size 5mm, 5.5mm or 6mm. In the class you will learn how to cast on (knit) or chain (crochet) and the basic stitches. We will also discuss how to read a pattern and talk about the pattern database called Ravelry. When you are ready to sign up, you can purchase a class. In the notes, add the date. Someone will email you 48 hours prior to confirm.
