Fleur De Stitch'd is a black woman-owned business in Baton Rouge, LA. I am the owner, Micah, and I started dyeing in 2019. I absolutely love this journey and the people I have met along the way, especially at various Baton Rouge events, which are some of my favorites to attend.
In May 2022, I had the honor of organizing the Baton Rouge Fiber Arts & Makers Festival. It was a fantastic experience meeting other indie dyers and visitors from near and far. I hope to continue to host this event annually or semi-annually in the future. In August 2025, I am putting together the Deep South LYS Tour with the help of some fiber friends. I am excited to put this event together as well.
I have 10+ years of experience working with children including summer camps and teaching. I want to take my knowledge of fiber arts and teach students how to knit, crochet, needlepoint and more in the EBR School System. I think fiber arts is a valuable skill for the next generations to learn. I recently launched Stitch'd by Mic which is a blog/vblog with the focus of teaching online, reviews, testing, and commission pieces.
I am a student at Southeastern Louisiana University, studying Health & Physical Education. I also coach volleyball for the Luna Wolves, a program by the LA Wolves Youth Organization.
With your continued support, I look forward to more great things happening for my business and our community.
